Retreat Participants at Siloam

Annual Retreat in the Golden Jubilee Year

The Northeast India Independent Delegation of the Claretian Missionaries  organized a six day long Annual Retreat (9 -14 March 2020) for its members at Siloam Retreat Centre, Shillong.

Keeping aside their hectic missionary schedule in the parishes and schools, with a sole commitment to spend time with the Lord in prayer and reflection, 18 Claretian Missionaries working in the Northeast India Independent Delegation, including the Major Superior Fr. Pius Thuruthiyil, and his Consultors gathered together at Siloam, Shillong on 9 March 2020 for their Annual Retreat in this Jubilee year of Claretian Presence in India.

Rev. Fr. Xavier Manavath CMF, the Episcopal Vicar for the Religious of Bangalore Archdiocese and Ex Provincial of the Claretian Missionaries of Bangalore Province guided the retreat based on Claretian Missionary traits and expressing gratitude to God for the rich blessings received in the past 50 years. It was, indeed, a time of re-treating oneself in accompaniment with the foundational Spirit of the Congregation. The retreat ended on 14 March with Solemn Celebration of the Eucharist.
